Michael A. Cabe

Mike left this world on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 to play in the Big Band in the sky.

Mike was born in Macon County on January 6, 1963 to the late Grady and Elmira Haskett Cabe. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis and Ish Cabe.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons who were his world, Dennis and Dustin Cabe both of Franklin; sisters, Reba Bryson and husband David and Caryl Cooper; brothers, Randy Cabe and wife Christie and Dwayne Cabe and wife Amy all of Franklin; nephews, Mickey Cooper, Derrik Cooper and Dayne Cabe; nieces, Chi Shannon, April Cooper and Ashely Brock; great nieces and nephews, Michaela, Dalton, Rylee, Dax and Ellie; special cousins, Keith, Kyle, Ellis and David and many other cousins scattered across the country and special friend, Robin Parker.

Mike served his country in the US Army from 1986-1990. He enjoyed and lived his life large. He could and did find humor in every situation and always had a big smile for everyone. Mike loved to play guitar and write music. He played in many bands in his lifetime; most recently, Control Burn. He loved his band members; as he called them his brothers.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 PM Saturday, September 20th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7 prior to the service at the funeral home. Anyone with a “Mike story” is invited to attend.

The family will be at the home of Dwayne and Amy Cabe at 843 Industrial Park Road.
