Obituary for John Vance Stepp Jr.
John “Vance” Stepp, Jr, 58, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Born in Andrews, NC, he was the son of the late John Vance Stepp, Sr. and Esta Mae Bingham Stepp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Stepp and brother, Teddie Craig Stepp. Vance was an 18 year US Air Force veteran, serving as a C-130 Flight Line Mechanic. He was Christian by faith.
He is survived by daughter, Regina Cordova of Madison, TN; son, Robert Stepp of Weolm, WA; sister, Elsie Hoxit and husband James of Sylva; two brothers, Jim Stepp and wife Katrina of Leicester, NC and Tom Stepp and wife Cami of Sheridan, AR; three grandchildren; companion, Patty Unger of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Maynard will officiate. VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108 will conduct military rites.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675
