Richard John McNeil, 78, of Franklin, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015.
Born in Pontiac, MI, he was the son of the late Donald McNeil and Dorothy Wiggins McNeil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald McNeil and Kenneth “Skip” McNeil. Richard retired from General Motors and was owner and operator of Runway Market.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Katie McNeil; daughter, Kim Dalton of Franklin; three sisters, Charlotte Bishop and husband Jim of Marion, MI, Sharon Sneller and husband Dale of Clio, MI and Karen Alexander and husband Larry of Farwell, MI; two brothers, Gary McNeil and wife Connie of Auburn Hills, MI and Larry McNeil and wife Donna of Sears, MI; three grandchildren, RJ Bell and wife Nicole, Joel Bell and wife Taishi and Katie Dalton and husband Daniel Hughes and two great grandchildren, Mya and Ava Hughes.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27th at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Darren Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in Iotla United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rick Fouts, Victor Watson, Mike Fouts, RJ Bell, Joel Bell, Dale Sneller, Gary McNeil and Edwin “Beezer” Turner.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
