Todd Eric Ensley, 51, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Lloyd Edgar Ensley and Grace Brendle Ensley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Garth Ensley. Todd retired as Captain of Detectives at Highlands Police Department having served 25 years and was a Basic Law Enforcement Training instructor at Southwestern Community College. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan, loved to fish and enjoyed studying Civil War and WWII history. He was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Broom Ensley; two daughters, Cheyenne Robinson and husband Jeff and Sierra Womack and husband Charles all of Franklin; three stepchildren, Trista Williams of Franklin, Michael Henry of Stuart, FL and Justin Henry of Franklin; twin brother, Brett Ensley and wife Laura of Clyde, NC; brother, Trent Ensley and wife Suk of Burke VA; sister, Gwen Ensley Koehler and husband Scott of Oak Ridge, NC; grandchildren, Holly Williams and Brinkley Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21st at First Christian Church. The Reverends Lynn Dulakis, George Davis and Danny Prince will officiate. Burial will be in Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Brooks, Jerry Cook, Curtis Dowdle, David Williams, Justin Henry, Brandon Ensley, James “Shorty” Bateman and Michael Henry. Honorary Pallbearers will be
Adam and Zach Ensley.
