Gaynell Vanhook Snyder, 85, of Franklin, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, November 16, 2015.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Harve J. Vanhook and Ruby Jane Justice Vanhook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Snyder and two brothers, Dennis Edward Vanhook and Lamar Mossy Vanhook. Gaynell was office manager of Belk’s Department Store for 35 years and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Crawford and Pam Davis and husband Tony both of Franklin; two sisters, Garnetta Woodard and husband Hoyt of Candler, NC and Opal Embler of Alexander, NC; three brothers, Bill Vanhook, Reggie Vanhook and wife Linda and Ronnie Vanhook and wife Karen all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Megan, Caleb and Deven; one great grandchild, Gauge; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Guy Duvall will officiate. There will be a private family burial service at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Memorial donations can be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
