Furman Walter Elliott, 80, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Wiley Eugene Elliott and Lillian Agnes Panells Elliott; Furman was one of sixteen children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lillian Jane Macabee. Furman loved to fish and bird hunt. He was a member of Coweeta Baptist Church. Furman would like those left behind to be happy; don’t be sad he is gone.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Gail Anderson Elliott of Franklin; two daughters, Mary Sue Carver and husband Freddie and Lora Duvall and husband Michael all of Franklin; one step son, John Welch and wife Lisa; five grandchildren, Anthony Robert, Karissa and Kaitlyn Duvall, Tanner and Ashlee Welch, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17th at Coweeta Baptist Church. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
