Obituary for Marena Jeannette Mikol (Waidelich)
Marena Jeannette Mikol, 77, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Born in Lansing, MI, she was the daughter of the late Eberhardt Waidelich and Marie Kornes Waidelich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Frank Mikol. Marena was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, where she served as former secretary and member of the “Martha Ministry”.
She is survived by two children, John Adam Mikol and wife Page of Rural Hall, NC and Michelle Mikol Boettjer and husband Scott of Beech Grove, IN; one brother, Carl Waidelich of Rochester Hills, MI; two sisters, Jackie Johnson of West Branch, MI and Barbara Soll of Naples, FL; four grandchildren, Fredrick Samuel Boettjer and wife Jenifer, Jason Michael Forsythe, Brianna Marie Mikol and Adrian Leigh Mikol; two great grandchildren, Samuel and Isaac Boettjer and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17th at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Pastor John Brunner will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 16th at Macon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
