Condolence: My Aunt Jean...unfortunately, my earliest memory of her was when she was driving all of us kids to Sunday school and we were hit by two cement trucks on a bridge. Although I was only five years old, I will never forget the vision of Aunt Jean hurt. I also remember being a little older and playing Barbie dolls with Beki and seeing Aunt Jean come home in her nurse's uniform. I remember being so proud of her in that uniform! She even wore a nurse's cap! She was so tall and pretty. I then remember, as a teenager, picking up Johnny and Steve and driving my new car to Aunt Jean and Uncle Bob's new home in Boca for a family Thanksgiving dinner that they served on their screen porch. As is usual, the responsibilities of adult life took over much of my time and I didn't see Aunt Jean for a while but I was reunited with her when Grandma was sick and Aunt Jean and I sat on Grandma's couch in the TV room talking and laughing for hours. For the first time I was really seeing Aunt Jean through adult eyes and I not only loved her but I really appreciated the beautiful, strong, funny woman that she was! People always told me that I was physically built like Aunt Jean but I pray that I have more in common with her than that! We all hold Aunt Jean in our hearts. She was so loved and will always be missed. On a happier note, however, Aunt Jean is at Uncle Bob's side again and she is embraced by her parents and her siblings once more just as it should be. All of my love goes out to you, Beki and Chris. I pray that one day your memories of your Mom will bring a warm smile to your face instead of warm tears to your eyes. Roxann
