Lucille Shook Young, 91, of Franklin, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009.

Born in Macon Co. she was the daughter of the late Lawson Shook and Ollie Mincey Shook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hunter W. Young who died in 1988 and two sons, Bruce and Gary Young. She enjoyed walking and gardening and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Lucille was a member of Ellijay Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Bob and wife Nevena, Gene and wife Shelia and Chuck Young all of Franklin; daughter, Betty Bulgin and husband Fred of Franklin; two sisters, Betty Clay and Marietta Keener both of Franklin; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, at Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Dellinger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Fred Bulgin, Bobby Young, Mark Young, Richard Sund, Adam Barbee, Carl Mincey, Mike Cabe and Kurt Barbee.

Memorial donations may be made to Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund; C/O Wanda Bolick, 80 Woodrows Lane, Franklin, NC.
