Obituary for Jim Cochran
Jim Cochran, 73, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Ken Cochran and Minnie Herron Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Don Herron, Dover Cochran and Bill Cochran. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jo Eyvonne Bishop Cochran; three children, Joyce Carpenter (Steve), Debbie Shepherd (Alan), and Jamie Cochran (Julie) all of Franklin; two sisters, Tina Hall and Betty McMahan both of Franklin; six grandchildren, Mickey Carpenter (Jessica), Whitney McCall (Nick), T.J. Shepherd (Miranda) Lindsey Rowland (Seth), McKinleigh Cochran and Elias Cochran; three great grandchildren, Sawyer Carpenter, Lainey McCall, Hunter McCall and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Carpenter, Nick McCall, T.J. Shepherd, Seth Rowland, Rick Cassada and Scotty Bishop.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Philemon Valencia, Steve Carpenter, David McMahan and Doug Carpenter.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
