Connor Patrick McLane, 19, of Otto, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
Born in Arlington Heights, IL, he was the son of Charlie and Cindy McLane. Connor graduated from Macon Early College where he received his associates degree and was currently attending and studying Engineering Technology at Western Carolina University. He was a member of Discover Church and very involved in the children’s ministry. He loved his position as a tutor at Nantahala Learning Center and was involved in the Biltmore Church College Ministry. Connor’s life was spent passionately seeking Christ and selflessly serving and loving others.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Robert and Evie Evensen of Rolling Meadows, IL; paternal grandparents, Michael and Nancy McLane of Blairsville, GA; his sister, Kayla McLane who also attends WCU and her fiancé Jeremy Smith of Lincolnton, NC; the love of his life, Abby Crozier of Hickory, NC and many extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 23rd at Discover Church. Rev. Ben Windel and Rev. Seth Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, January 22nd at Discover Church.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Wendt, Jeremy Smith, Luke Crozier, Luis Perez, Duncan Stiles, Elijah Godwin, Purshotam Aruwani and Dyllon Phuong.
