Condolence: My heart aches for you, Charlie, Cindy and the McLane family to lose in death your precious loved one Connor, way too soon. No other pain will ever be greater than the pain of losing a child. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18), wants you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 34:18
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection.
Our precious savior, Jesus, promises us at John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day".
And again at: John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."
And also at John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life".
I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times with Connor.
Job asked at Job 14:14; "If a man dies, can he live again?" Job answers at Job 14:15; "You (Jehovah) will call and I will answer." Just like Job, we can have confidence in the resurrection hope.

There are no words that can convey our sorrow for you. I (Anna) was in a library kids program last summer and observed what I thought at the time was the nicest, gentlest, sincerest young man I had ever seen. The kids he was with just hovered around him, playing with him like he was their best friend. It was not until this very moment of reading Connors obituary that I realized I was observing your son. I had not seen him in many years and would have never picked him out in a crowd, he was all grown up! We can only imagine how proud you are of him.

I am not sure that I have ever met someone so accepting and loving of other people than Connor. It seemed that Connor's goal in life was to make everyone else feel better and to laugh. I was always happy to see Connor coming because I knew that he would make me smile and laugh.
Connor was a genuinely, true, good person.
We all need to be more like Connor.
We are truly sorry for your loss.
