Obituary for Mary Seay McGaha (Gordon)
Mary Gordon Seay McGaha, 90, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Born in Toccoa, GA, she was the daughter of the late James and Dessie Thomas Gordon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Seay and second husband, R.L. McGaha; four brothers, Frank, Lee, Joe and infant, Jackie and five sisters, Luellen, Annie, Hazel, Estella and Viola. Mary was an avid reader and member of Cowee Baptist Church.
She is survived by children, Daniel “Danny” Seay of Franklin, Jennifer Watts of Clayton, Dale Seay of Port St. Lucie, FL, Bill McGaha of Franklin and Annie M. Olive of Fuquay-Varina, NC; brothers and sisters, John Gordon of Georgia, Bill Gordon of South Carolina, Bob Gordon of Clayton, GA, Sue Trotman of Georgia, Jean Christy of Georgia; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 6th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Lowe and Rev. Ronnie Branson will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Watts, Ryan Watts, Travis Seay, Kevin Seay, Julie Denton and Bill McGaha.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
