Obituary for Ida Mae Ramey Cloer

Ida Mae Ramey Cloer, 75, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Grady Ramey and Marie Ledford Ramey. Ida was a retired school teacher at Rabun Gap Community School and was a member of Longview Baptist Church. She always had a smile on her face and was joyful, finding the positive in everything. Everyone who knew her loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Buddy Cloer; two children, Jeff Cloer and wife, Brenda of Franklin and Angel Hudgins and husband Trip of Candler; two sisters, Betty Moore (J.P.) and Joy Holland (Dale) of Franklin; five grandchildren, Morgan Martin (Jacob), Tyler Cloer (Kristie Gold), Neely Hudgins, Addison Hudgins and Sadie Hudgins; one great grandson, Beckett Cloer and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 27 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Clark Moss and Rev. Donnie Seagle will officiate. Burial will be in the Longview Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Cloer, Jacob Martin, Tim Moore, Tony Ray, Phillip Lane and Dan Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Cloer, Joe Breedlove, Mike Hastings and Phillip Tallent.
