Kenneth Lewis Queen, 73, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Fred Wilson Queen and Ruth Houston Queen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lewis Queen and brothers, Paul and Floyd and sisters, Judy Henry and Lou Anne Stockton. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Coon Hunters Club.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Waldroup Queen; three children, Jeff Queen of Franklin, Sherri Cloud of Otto and Shane Queen of Franklin; three sisters, Joyce Crowe and Connie Bradley both of Franklin and Janet Roberson of Buford, NC; four brothers, Wayne Queen and Brent Queen both of Franklin, Danny Queen of Lexington, NC and Jimmy Queen of Thomasville, NC; eleven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and caregiver, Brenda Hill.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, at Burningtown Church of God. Rev. Don Bates and Rev. Eugene Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Queen, Shawn Bates, Ricky Keener, Jim Swafford, Virgil Burch and Larry Queen. Honorary Pallbearer will be James Giddens.
