Myron Elwood McCoy, Jr., passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Born in South Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Myron Elwood McCoy Sr. and Faye Johnson McCoy. Myron was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean conflict.
He attended WVU where he met his wife of 56 years, Carol Wingo McCoy and graduated in 1958 with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering.
Myron was employed as an engineer with Martin Marietta in Orlando, FL for 4 years and left to start his own building supply business. His time after work was devoted to coaching little league and pop warner. He loved working with children and was especially proud of his 2 sons.
After retirement, Myron and Carol moved to Mill Creek in February 1995, where they spent many happy years enjoying friendships and golfing. His favorite afternoon was spent watching FSU and WVU football or the Atlanta Braves, and then barbecuing his famous ribs with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Carol; 2 sons, Dave McCoy and wife Madonna of Franklin and Ron McCoy and wife Laura of Winter Garden, FL and 3 grandchildren Dakota, Logan, and Samantha.
Per Myron's wishes no public service will be held. He will always live on in our hearts as a devoted husband, father, and friend.
