A Beautiful Heart
I had the pleasure of knowing Doreatha for many years as a coworker and as a friend.
She was always a defender of those who had been wronged, be it people or animals. and had no problem telling you exactly how she felt about it or anything else. That honesty was part of what made her so endearing, You always knew talking to her you were with someone who really cared and listened to what you had to say. Some people never find someone like that, and I feel lucky to have been given the time I had with her.
I jokingly told her that the cats she saved must have felt like they won the "cat lottery" ! But I think we all won the "heart lottery" by having her in our lives.
And if she were reading this right now, she would probably be rolling her eyes at how cheesy it is
But that's ok, I'm just following her example to tell it like it is .
