Bonnie Stanley Holbrooks, 90, of Franklin, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe Stanley and Jessie Franks Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wade Holbrooks; one son, Larry Holbrooks; one grandson, Waylon Holbrooks; brothers, D.C., Bill, Cecil, Frank, George, Leroy, Fred and James Stanley and sister, Jean Ellen Stanley. Bonnie volunteered at Angel Medical Center as a “Pink Lady” and was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Barbara McCall and husband Leroy, Lula Bell Russell and husband Earl, Billy Joe Holbrooks and Martha Vinson and husband Dwight all of Franklin; one sister, Mary Sue Ledford of Franklin; three brothers, Chester, Robert and Harold Stanley all of Franklin; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 9th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Bates will officiate. Burial will be in the Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Lee, Garrett Jones, Austin Ramey, Ronnie Harkins, Daryl Hodgins and Mike Adkins.
