Obituary for Blanche Younce (Crisp)
Blanche Crisp Younce, 91, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
Born in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Hessie Grant Crisp. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Troy Crisp, Junior Crisp, and Doug Crisp, all of Franklin; sisters, Hazel Hylton, of Andrews, Marie Smith, and Joyce Stiwinter, both of Franklin.
She was a charter member of Windy Gap Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to church, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edgar Younce; two sons, Eddie (Gloria) and Randy (Lisa), both of Franklin; three grandchildren, Autumn (Allen) Corbin and Robbie Younce, both of Franklin, and Craig Younce of Charlotte. Five great-granddaughters, McKenzee McCoy of Boone, Rylee and Bentlee of Franklin, Paisley Younce of GA, and Graycen Younce of Charlotte; siblings, Gladys Gibson, Shirley (Johnny) Hodgins, Gene (Hope) Crisp, all of Franklin.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Brian Browning will officiate. Burial will be in the Windy Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Windy Gap Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Ben West, Matt Breedlove, Dean Cook, Jimmy Hall, Bobby Peak, Darrell Gregory, Steven Williams, and Mark Holland.
Memorial donations can be made in memory of Blanche C. Younce to Hospice House Foundation of WNC, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
