First Grade, Yep that's where we met. We were in Mrs. Poli's first grade class. Maryann and I thought that our teacher Mrs. Polis Looked just like the wicked witch in the:"Wizard of Oz." We would laugh about that for years, every time we saw each other actually.. Well she really did look like that wicked witch honest. The "Wizard of Oz" would become our favorite kids movie. Maryann would fluff up her curly hair to look like a lions mane and she would do the best imitation of that cowardly Lion. saying," Oh, I do, I do, I do," that I ever heard.
I cryed myself out of tears, when I hearing Mary had gone on to heaven, and I lay in bed thinking. I bet when Mary got to the Pearly gates and St. Peter asked her " do you want to come into heaven? Mary said " oh, I do, I do, I do!) Thats just something she would do. Mary is in heaven skipping down the yellow brick road, looking for Jesus. With a smile and laughing all the way.
Mary and I had such a wonderful friendship, we could laugh at anything. We would get together and we would think of something and laugh and laugh. Mary was the funniest and craziest person I've ever known. Her sunny personality will be missed greatly, especially by me. If I ever wanted a pick me up when feeling down all I had to do was call Mary. I will miss her so very much. She left us way to soon. I know when it's my turn to go to heaven, Mary will be there at the pearly gates with St. Peter and when he askes her if she wants me to come through those pearly gates, she will be saying 'Oh, I do, I do, I do. Then she and I will go skipping down the yellow brick road looking for Jesus. I will see Mary again, that I'm certain about , and I can hear her laughter and see her smiling face, and we will laugh for the rest of eternity.
